Table lamp for jewelry
For jewelry makers, who work on individual stations in professional jewellery atelier environment, we want to design a table lamp, that allows precise focused light positioning on the benchpeg while suffciently lighting the entire workstation.
To support soldering, metal work, and gem setting, the lamp should be maneuverable, sturdy, and intuitive.
Considering that the lamp top remains concealed from jewelers' view, and following user research through interviews which emphasized the need for a simple and intuitive interaction, a knob was selected.
This choice was made to align with the aesthetics of the moodboard and to ensure easy grip.
Additionally, it was determined that only three light intensity levels were necessary, as more or fewer options were deemed unnecessary.
The project began by choosing the context and language that fits the created moodboard, expressing a
dated, everlasting and repurposed aspect.
Air Fryer new concept
To design a versatile, comfortable and easy to use air fryer for working parents that requires minimum
effort and attention to operate. It must be able to cook different types of food simultaneously in a quick and
effcient way.
Cooky offers an easy and intuitive interface, capable of adjusting rotation activation, cooking mode, timer, temperature and start, simply by pressing a button, offering feedback through a display integrated into the knob that adjusts all of these modes.
The handle is easy to grab and to make a small rotation to lock the basket.
Cooky is an AirFryer that stands out from the ordinary ones. It has a different concept since it has an innovative geometry but with a specific objective.
It has two baskets that allow two types of food to be cooked simultaneously.
Individualistic Cooktop
Design of a flow-in system that meets the needs of the user in small kitchen context.
The new system must minimize the visual impact of the
cooking surface and the volume that the internal
components occupy within the kitchen cabinet, so that
the user can use the limited space of the kitchen
environment as much as possible.
The design of the interface involves:
- On/Off button
- Two slidder buttons to activate the two burning areas independently
- Link button to have one big burning area
- Lock button
- Slidder timer
- Button that can be repeatedly pressed in order to activate and potentiate the kitchen hood.
The design features an integrated kitchen cooktop paired with a downward-suction kitchen hood.
The hood system is structured from top to bottom as follows: the grill, the filter system, the chassis with all the internal components (induction coils and electronics), the fan and motor assembly, and the ducting system.
Wheelchair
Design of a wheelchair system that uses a
scissoring mechanism, coupled with a crank
actuation system, to smoothly transition from
sitting to a standing position, to promote user
independence and to enhance overall quality of
life by providing a seamless and secure method
for individuals to stand.
- Scissoring mechanism integration
- Crank actuation system
The crank mechanism is user-friendly, allowing
individuals to transition between sitting and
standing positions with ease by moving the crank, activating the scissoring mechanism up and downwards.
The standing frame is engineered to be light,
allowing for easy transportation
The hability for the chair to stand up is meant to be integrated with a security belt in order to mantain the user safe in the back-seat.
This project required a final functional
prototype. In a team of two it has been
worked to create the wheelchair.
Skills developed: prototyping planning
and the operation of required machinery.
Mechanical Tool
Design and implement a mechanical tool to
help reduce the process time in the countersink
workstation without damaging the metal sheets,
that is also able to adjust to any coil model and
to any operator’s preference of height.
The tool is meticulously crafted with the operator's comfort in mind, enhancing efficiency and ergonomics within the workstation of a production line. Its design features a sturdy metal table that securely holds the product in a vertical position.
The side clamps, manually adjustable by the operator, provide flexibility to secure the product precisely as needed.
Additionally, the table's height adjustment capability, facilitated by a rail system, ensures customization to accommodate each operator's preferences and height requirements seamlessly. Also adjusted manually by the operator
1. Plastic clamps that allow the coil to be firmly
held without damaging the metal sheets.
2. Metal table plate to support the coil base.
3. Metal column that works as a table rail making
vertical movement, adjustable depending on
operator coil.
4. Metal screwed base for strong for stability.
